Hello,
I wondered if anyone could help me? I am trying to program a power supply with VBA through excel. The power supply I am using is a Xantrex XFR 150-18 with built in GPIB interface. I have a cable which connects the IEEE 488 port of the power supply to a USB. However, I am struggling to send an output string via the usb.
I realise that if I had an adapter from USB to a R232 serial port, I could use 'MSComm1' notation but it maybe difficult to match port attributes such as Baud Rate, word length etc. I am also quite certain that IEEE 488 to R232 serial cables do not exist. Any help or advice would be most welcome. Thank you.
