Adding Extra Memory - Will it help Excel

I am doing a lot of work with VLOOKUPs across multiple large (50K record) sheets and am regularly getting crashes, to say nothing of taking ages to calculate.

Does anyone know if I would get much benefit from buying some extra memory. I currently have 2GB.

Redesigning will be better option than buying memory card.

You can always try your file on more powerful machine to see if there is any difference.

There is not much more that you can add (if you think 2Gb isn't much :-)), 32bit machines can't fully address 4Gb. Also, your problems seem dire, so more memory doesn't sound like a practical long term solution. I would agree with MaximS, redesign, redrafting is the way forward.
