import data to Excel from old accounting system

I need to import data to my worksheet, the data is in a old accounting system, with cobol languaje.
As I do?
I can create a funcion that bring me directly of this system, a balance or movement of inventory?

Some of the old Cobol programs used text files of fixed widths for the fields. Simply import the Text file from the Data menu for external data.
