Hi Experts

"Firstly, let me apologies - i am aware that this question is on the excel forum", but no one can find a solution on the MSP forum".

Need a macro that counts the number of level 1 - 4 enteries in a column with the heading Milestones in it, in MS Projects (using the form as shown in the screen print) - apologies unable to up load the file even when zipped, this site does not allow up loading of .mpp file extension.

In the screen print you well see a column label field name, if you open MSP (see second screen print) and right click in a particular column then you see a option from sub menu that says customized fields, this list all the field names in MSP...............i want to show the same field names in the userfrom that is in the screen print......

so here is the sequence:

1. user selects a field name that is the same as the field name (as if the user was right clicking in a particluar column as described above)...

2. the user select a milestone level say 2

3. clicks calculate macro button on userform macro counts the how many times the number 2 so in the column with the heading title "milestones"..... and returns the values....

4. cancel button on userform to simply exit......

Can't you creat a file with enough sample tasks etc, to demonstrate what you want to do. I can't say I feel disposed to do it for you.

Ok i have managed to get this far but (see file)

When you open the MSP file, and click on the red flag a customized form appears, the problem to hand is that i cannot get the form to generate the right answers for each category.....

Pete,

I will make an effort to get to it today, but MPS VBA is a learning curve for me too. Just temper the enthusiasm :)
