I have a word doc with multiple links to a an excel workbook. I'm looking for a way to
1) On .doc open, update the source of all of the links (10) through a file browser box.
2) Update the links
What is going to happen here is we have several sales folks that will take the excel template and create a quote, save that template under another file name (e.g. Widgetcorp3456.xls), and email it back to inside sales.
Inside sales will save the email file to the server, open the word doc template, and link it to the just saved excel file. The folks that are going to be preparing the word docs aren't very computer savvy so I have to automate it as much as possible. Therefore, if I could build some VBA code that would, on .doc open, allow them to point to a file name and hit enter, having the VBA do the rest, I think I'm golden.
Any ideas?
We're on Office 2003 right now, if I need to go to Office 07, pls let me know.
