I just received a box in the mail.
Tucked inside is VBA and Macros for Microsoft Excel written by Bill Jelen and Tracy Syrstad.
AUTOGRAPHED BY BOTH!
See...you have to know that I introduced the two of them to see how cool this is. :)

That's great!!!
But you didn't get autographed copies for the first 100 members of VBA Express?
No kidding, I think that is great for you, Anne. What a compliment to you.:yes :yes :yes

No offense taken, I think. (Can you 'plain that in elder-talk? :D )
For those inquirying minds who don't understand elder-humor (or me, since they are not necessarily the same), I had actually edited my post before Anne and you had posted. Of course, by then...:dunno

I quite fancy writing a book but my area of most knowledge (Excel) is covered so well in so many books I don't see the point of writing one for that now.
I thought about maybe doing one entitled: "The Win32 API for the VBA Programmer" which I don't believe is covered. Hmm, maybe one day.....

Well...
Methinks you and BCF could get together and write
"The Coders Guide to VBA", huh?

Is BCF up for writing a book too then?
Hmm, "The Coders Guide to VBA", I guess that's another area that's not covered so well - integration of applications. Every book touches on it with about 2 pages but they all concentrate on a favoured App. I guess soemthing that covered Outlook, Excel and Word with some DB support using ADO it would be quite good. (I don't mention access as it's too big an area really..)

:yesIt works for me. I enjoyed the endeavour. :yes
The first book on Excel I've ever read cover to cover, I like it. :)
