Hi all, I'm new here, so please don't kill me, if I say something wrong.

As I find this forum just searching for a quick solution, how to add custom macro buttons in powerpoint 2007 (as in older office apps) and this thread didn't realy helped me, I wanted to add a small note:

If you assign a button to a macro and get the error message "macro not found or..." you must change the Sub to Public. Sometimes it is also better to assign the onAction property to the complete name of the sub including module name: module1.myMacro.

Hi there,

I agree about the onAction property, I always qualify at least the module name. Since I usually end up naming my modules with the same naming convention (generally Hungarian-type notation) I like to reference the workbook too.

As far as knowing how to help you, well you'd definitely need to tell us a little more about what it is you've done, how your file is structured, and what you want to do.

P.S. You said "as in older office apps" which is why I moved your thread out of the 2007 Ribbon UI forum, and I started you a new thread. If this is for the 2007 Ribbon in PPT, please let us know and we'll move it back for you - in your own thread. :)
