I'm using Outlook 2007 and it is forwarding my email to my Blackberry, which is great. The problem, it is also sending a text message alert, which is running my text message plan through the roof.
Can anyone tell me how to turn off the text message alert when you get email function? I'm at a loss.
Thanks!

Evening Linus.
When you say it is "forwarding my email to my BlackBerry," what is the actual method you are using? Did you set up Outlook to Forward on New Item?
One of the best things about the BlackBerry is that it will connect directly to so many different types of Servers. It's just a matter of how you set up the Phone.

Hey Demosthine!
Thanks for the reply. The problem is the text message I get with every email. I don't know how to shut this feature off and I'm not sure if it's a setting in Outlook, T-Mobile or Blackberry. Any insight? I'm going to be racking up a huge text bill for these unwanted text messages.

Evening, Linus.
Again, I need to know your method of sending your EMail to your BlackBerry. There are two main methods to do this:
1.) From Outlook, create a new Rule that is set up similar to
When a message is receieved, Forward it to MyUser@TMobile.BlackBerry.Net
2.) On your BlackBerry, go to the Applications Menu, then EMail Setup, and add a new Email Account.
Unless you tell me how your Phone is getting the messages, I can't start to help you.

I'm sorry...I really struggle with this stuff. I checked Outlook for Rules and there were none. I checked the Blackberry and my email address is listed under EMail Setup.
Hope this helps!

Evening again Linus.
Since it is connecting directly to the Server, there should be no reason for it to send a Text Message as well. To my knowledge, there are no Blackberry device settings that will accomplish this. I spent some time searching Verizon's information and they don't have anything on it, either. That leads me to believe it's an issue with T-Mobile's BlackBerry Enterprise Server. I would call their Customer Service and see what they can tell you.
