Hi,

I have set up a worksheet within my excel workbook, that counts the number of times the document is opened and counts the number of times the various worksheets within the document have been viewed.

I originally set a macro that upon closing the document would copy the worksheet that contains the data to another location.

My problem is the document is set up as a read only document for user to view only. This is where my problems lies. When i run the macro, it works fine as i have full access rights to that folder location, however users viewing my document will not.

Is there any way i can get the worksheet saved to this restricted location within the network or is there another method to count the number of times
the document is opened and the number of times the various worksheets are viewed.

Any help would be greatly apprecaited.

Thanks

BT

Possibly a text log file. Here's an example from johnske: http://vbaexpress.com/kb/getarticle.php?kb_id=475&PHPSESSID=f87c09f6500c0e01cc94cf22a8e3ee57
