Solved: OpenOffice Base

anyone ever hear of it? my boss wants me test it out instead of access.....is it as powerful as access and will I be able to create the "dummyproof" programs with the startup windows, etc. that I can do in access?

any feedback would be appreciated.

My experience with Open Office was not that great. I really never even got to Base(Access). My Excel files had many conflicts as far as macros. Many of my forms have buttons and macros working in the background. I haven't used in about a year though, so many things may have changed. I really can't remember the specifics, since it's been awhile ago.
