We managed to read and write to custom registry,
but there are 2 things we have problem with

1- when we click "new microsoft office document' from the program menu
we can not see the DOTM templates located in the default template dir.
only dotx. is there is a way to display the dotm

2- in office 2007 click on the office menu --> new
then under the template section on the left side, there are 4 lines (blank and recent, Installed templates, My template, and new for existing)
Can we add an extra line that will point to a custom set of templates?

any idea
thanks

You can create folders within Templates to put your custom templates.

Button, New, My Templates .... (left hand col), and you get a New dialog box with tabs. The tabs are at least "My Templates", plus a tab for each sub-folder that has a word template in it. Not all folders, only those with a DOT in it.

I see DOTM files in my "My Templates", for ex. NormalEmail.dotm

Yes Paul, But the DOTM file is not visible if you open them throught the "new microsoft office document' from the program menu.

so if you open word doc -- office icon --> new -- > my templates then
it will work

but if you go to all prgram --> "new microsoft office document" -
then you will not see the dotm files???

is this a bug?
