I have an account that is using an Access database frontend and backend on a twelve workstation network. Each workstation has a copy of the front end that links to the backend on the server.
This installation uses Microsoft Access 2003 w/ service Pack 3.
Every week several of the workstation front end programs cease to work.
They usually display one of the two following messages when the user clicks on a button to open a form:
_______________________________________________________________
Runtime error "3011"
The Microsoft Jet Database could not find object "". Make sure the object exists and that you spell the name and the path name correctly.
-------------------------------or-------------------------------------
You canceled the previous operation
_____________________________________________________________
Anyone have any ideas. I have a 'template' of the frontend program that I copy to the offending workstation to temporarily correct the problem, but it is a royal pain to continually go through this. The same program with only minor modifications is working in about 20 other installations without any problems.
