Hi,

Does anyone know where I can find some useful resouces/tips for using VBA in Powerpoint. I have even found it difficult to find books on the subject. I get the sense it isnt used a lot!

Cheers
Phil

I haven't found many books that address VBA in powerpoint specifically; I think the only ones I have are Powerful PowerPoint for Educators:

and Office VBA Macros
http://www.amazon.com/Office-VBA-Macros-You-Today/dp/1932802061/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1233949303&sr=1-1

I'm not sure I'd recommend either one too much, I bought them when I had no real experience, but I think they were a bit costly for what I got out of them. The first one is dedicated completely to PowerPoint, but it is almost $50.

A little time spent in the VB editor and just looking through the object model viewer were much more helpful to me.

I find this forum one of the better resources for learning. I check in a few others, but I come here the most for VBA.

We have some examples of code on our site which might be useful.

My PP life would be MUCH easier if the macro recorder worked better (PP2007)

In Excel the recorder "usually" give me fairly good starting point

"To record a PowerPoint macro, use the legacy keyboard commands Alt+T, M, R to start, (Tools - Macro - Record) and use the same keyboard combination to stop recording."

Seems like a lot of actions aren't recorded (usually the hard ones that i need help with)
