i have this string.

rstuvwx -- abcdef -- lmnop -- wxyz

i have a text file that i need to update with this string. this line goes at the very bottom of the text file.

this is the format in which this string is stored in the text file:

abcdef %- fixed text %s wxyz %f wxyz

-- should be replaced by %-, %s and %f
