Hi!

When running the AutoExec macro, is there any way to know if Word was started by opening an existing document, or e.g from the start menu?

I want to open a dialog box when starting a clean instance of word. However, i dont want the dialog box to pop up when opening existing files.

Word 2007 btw.

Try using the Documents collection. If Word has been started "clean", then the Documents.Count will = 1, and the only Document will be named "Document1".
