View Full Version : Solved: Excel Graph w/cubic function

The attached image is an Excel chart I created (for my daughter's research data) based on 4 time series (plotted as points, no need to identify as separate entities) the blue curve is something I drew in, but it represents a cubic function (as created in SPSS with the same data). She prefers the appearance of Excel to SPSS but would like the blue line plotted not drawn. The cubic function equation is

53.8538929166713 + 46.64544988975923 * x +
-10.05852960664259 * x*x + 0.5421132687450991 * x*x*x


Can anyone advise on how I might introduce this to the chart:banghead: I can upload the worksheet if needed. Stan

You got me. I can see the basic method, but it is like leading a horse to water. Here is the data and graph so far, with the blue I drew in erased. I really appreciate your looking at it. Stan: pray2: : pray2: : pray2: :friends:
