Hello,

I am a civil engineering student, and I just recently began playing with delivering my papers written electronically instead of the more traditional method of pen. And, we have a fairly big paper that has been going for the whole semester, which I have entered into Excel. But, I also recently (very recently) discovered MathCAD.

So my big question is really:

Is it possible to show my Excel functions as equations in Mathcad or a similar program (Even MS Word would be useful)? The goal is to show what numbers I have used when and where, and show easily how I got to the answers that I got.

You coulkd switch the Excle vie to show Formulas (Ctrl-` - the character on the top left-key) then just copy and paste the formulae.

Played around with it. Not really perfect, but could be used with some editing I suppose.

However, if someone has any other ideas, please post them.

Can you post a sample of a couple of equations showing what you have/want?

Not sure if this will work, but here goes:

B C L Q N R P
1: Bjelke: Egenlast Bjelke: Hulldekke
2: =L2*10/1000 =Q2*N2+R2*P2 57,1 4 5,5 1 6,6

I want "Bjelke: Egenlast" and "Bjelke: Hulldekke" to be shown more like this:

"Bjelke: Egenlast = 57,1 * 10 / 1000"
"Bjelke: Hulldekke = 4 * 5,5 + 1 * 6,6"

I have about 30 lines of different beams (bjelke) in the excel sheet.
