:banghead:

Trying to figure out a formula and it's probably right in front of my nose but I just can't see it. :motz2:

What I am trying to figure out is how to get the percentage of a value so that it equals zero.

Column A Column B Column C Column D
$57.00 $57.36 ($-1.36) 0.3000

Formula in column D should be set so that Column A - Column B should equal 0, not the -1.36 that is showing in column C.

Any and all help on this is greatly appreciated

Post your workbook please? We need to see what formula you are currently working with, and how you arrived at Col C value. At the moment we are just guessing.

If I enter in Col D the following: =(B1/A1)-1 the result is 0.0063158.

If you multiply 0.0063158 * B2 the result = $0.36

We seem to be going round in circles here

Would love to, unfortunately, I was handed this yesterday and told to solve the problem. There is no formulas being used. This happens to me all the time.

The result should show .2907

Which would give you in Column C a zero.

I attached part of what I have to go off of, hoping this will help.

Thanks for everything
