Hi Everyone,

I need to hide the navigation pane when the database opens for a user and be able to unhide easily for the developer to gain access.

I've used the Properties/Modal of the main from but can't unlock it as the developer with any shortcut keys (F11), etc.

Any help appreciated, as i can't afford for users to be curious :)

Cheers

Apologies for re-sending but initial submit hasn't appeared.

If, by navigation pane, you mean the database window, then that is easy to hide.

From the database window, click Tools->Startup. You'll get a new window with a bunch of options. One of them says something like "show database window". Just uncheck it- the database window will no longer appear when your user opens the application. You can also assign a form to launch at startup from here.

You can always hold down shift while you open your database to bypass the startup restrictions- great thing when you're the developer... and most users don't know about it.

Thankyou that worked perfectly and I had forgotten about the shift option.
