Hi,

I am currently using Outlook 2007 on a network. I wish to setup an additional contacts folder that is linked to Personal contacts that I store on an external drive. Therefore when the external drive is removed so is the access to the contacts.

Is this possible in Outlook 2007. Can I add/link to this and keep the data files seperate.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

I'm not aware of the specific instructions for OL 2007, but here's how you do it in OL 2003:

On the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.
Under Directory, click Add a new directory or address book, and then click Next.
Click Additional address books.
Click the address book you want to add, and then click Next.

(from help file)

You may also want to visit http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc179110.aspx and scroll down to "Personal Address Book" and see if that affects you.
