Solved: Access 2003 DB not able to open by more than One user

Hi All,

I need an urgent guidance here.
I have an Access 2003 DB. Which multiple users should able to access.
But only one user can able to opne it (who opens the DB first) & for the rest no matter how many times you click or press enter nothing happens.

Please guide.

Sudhir, how are the Users opening the database, with a Shortcut, clicking on the database or opening Access first?
Check that "Exclusive" is not ticked in Main Menu>Options>Advanced.

I kave checked that options is clicked as "shared". ALso they are directly opening the database from its location & not through a shortcut/hyperlink.

Then it sounds like you do not have the correct sharing priveleges on the Server, or in the folder.
