Capitalise first letters

Using Outlook 2003. When I send an attachment directly from say Excel, the file is attached, but when typing in the body of the email, the first letters of sentences are not capitalised automatically, but are small letters. :dunno
Why is this and can I change some or other setting to ensure automatic correction of the first letter.

Tools > Options > Spelling > Autocorrect Options

Check box next to "Capitalize first letter of sentences"
