Solved: Mail Marge function load wrong data (only in 1 columnn)

hi all,
pls. i have one question to Mail Marge.

When i want to map source of excel data by „mail merge recipients“ (in STEP 3) it shows data in one column wrong? Other data are OK, but this column shows in all column only 0.

In this column i have text data and also number 0. Can be this the problem? And if yes, how can i fix it?

But i can not change content of source table ( there alway be text and numbers)?

Hi danovkos,

You might need to change your data connection method. Word offers various ways to connect to an Excel mailmerge data source (eg DDE, ODBC, OLE DB, or a "converter".). OLE DB, I believe, uses the first 8 or so data rows to try to work out what type of data the fields contain. When you have a mix of text and numbers, if Word decides the field is numeric, any text will show up as 0s. Try using the DDE connection method instead.
