I have been evaluating desk top search tools for Windows XP. So far I have looked at
the default search tool built into WinXP
Windows Search 4.0
FSA,
AimAtFile
Google Desktop
Copernic
X1.
The first 2 can not index the contents of pst files.
The next 3 have too many file type limitations to be really useful.
Copernic can not handle db files. I am exploring workarounds for that.
X1 does not handle Outlook pst files correctly and I have seen some erratic behaviour in my testing.
Does anyone have a desktop search tool that they like?
