I am trying to draw a 'Trend' line between the largest vale on the X axis and the largest value on the Y axis. A standard trend line includes some averaging which is not allowed
Searched Excel Help - no joy
Search Web -No joy for this specific problem.
Lots of misses!
Could anybody point me towards some useful help, please.
An example is shown on the attached spreadsheet.
Not sure if adding a "dummy" series will do? Google Peltier and/or Tushar for lots of great chart stuff (including "dummy" series). HTH. Dave

Add a series, plot as xy-scatter.
The series requires 2 sets of x,y values.
You need to add the secondary y axis and fix that to the number of categories.

Why is the first value 0.5 and not 0 Andy?

Because the line goes to the middle of the bar rather than the horizontal axis.

Sorry, I understand that one in H3, I was referring to the value in G2.

You're right Bob I should have used 0.
I was applying the same 1/2 bar offsetting to the Value axis, which not needed.
