We've been composing emails to Santa at our house, so I've been thinking about what I would like to ask for from the big guy (I've been good, promise!).
Unfortunately most of the things I thought of aren't available at your local retail outlet (although the good part is that they also don't put a dent in your credit card).
So here goes:
Tolerance: the ability for all of us to accept and rejoice in our differences without feeling the necessity to "fix" everyone who is "wrong" (i.e. everybody else).
More time - unencumbered by guilt or the never-ending to-do list. Time to just enjoy my children and be present in here and now.
To see life through the eyes of a child for an hour.Of course I would also be happy with a complete remodelling of my renovator’s delight, and full-time household help if these are on offer.
So how about it – what’s on your list?

We've been composing emails to Santa at our house,... haha!, way to go Santa, naturally he will be consulting his Blackberry on his rounds too!
My christmas wish, although it seems sickly is simply to have another year where my youngest son still wants to be at my house christmas eve wth my wife and her daughter because he says its fun!
He's 16 and an old head on his shoulders, i think he only comes so i get some payback for all those years he woke me up at OMG! hour to see if Santa has been.........now the tables are turned, he's of an age where waking up anytime prior to 1pm is OMG! hour, so, every christmas at 5:30am (i do vary the time a little) i run in his room shouting he's been and drag him out (duvet and all!) down the stairs so he can sit bleary eyed watching us take an enormous amount of time opening our presents, and when he's suitably awake we pop back off for a snooze :)
I love christmas!!

Simon, I smell what you're steppin in. My youngest is 24 and graduates in the spring.
My oldest son and his new bride have moved here and are staying in a second house of ours until she can settle in and start teaching or having children or both.
My daughter will probably always stick pretty close. She's still in college.
All in all, I have everything I want this year. This is the first time in 9 years that we will all be together again for Christmas.
GeekGirl, You nailed the world issues as far as I'm concerned.
Happy Holidays

What do I want for Christmas....? I would like more of those all too fleeting moments when for some inexplicable reason I seem at peace with the world. You know those moments when you can relax, there's no fighting to compete against moving goal posts either in your personal or business life, when you can bask in the warmth of great relationships, where conversation comes easy, ......

But then again maybe just a day out of here might be nice

If I had got a nice new cyclo-cross bike I might be able to get a life :(Unless you're in to racing a cyclocross bike would be far too uncomfortable to enjoy, i think the only life you would get riding one of those would be similar to those who road the old bone shakers!, for a more sedate "keep your bones in one piece" ride try the Ultra Motor A2B Hybrid a far more pleasing experience ;)

Not my cup of tea. Can't imagine taking that onto the heath and letting rip.
