Where are you getting this error and what are you doing to bring the error up? Is it in excel?

yes, it is in VBA excel,when i create protect password it ,occured thi is error.

Are you trying to do it using code or manually?

I using macro with Active X control in excel sheet.
When .xls file protect password ,this is occured and macro doesn't work. If it is .xls file unprotect thi is error don't show and macro work.

So this is sheet protection, not workbook protection?

Is there any way you could post your workbook? hit post reply on lower left of last post then scroll down and look for button that says "manage attachments"

be sure to make a copy and take out any personal or company info.
