Removing password on excel file

i went to save as -> tools and set the password.

How do I take it off?

Open the workbook and goto:
Tools/Options/Security and clear the value in Password to open box and press Ok

Save and reopen the password is gone! :whistle:

oh, just delete the password. i though you had to type in the password to delete it. thanks

You're welcome!

No the password is needed to open the file so Excel knows the password by now and you can just erase the textbox and save the file...
