I got the System disk for Office 2007 that came with my computer and put it into the CD drive on my computer. I examined what I saw and found ATPVBAEN.XLAM_1033 in the Excel.R.CAB file. I presume that if I can copy that file to my computer, all my problems will go away. Unfortunately I have no idea how to extract that file from the CD. I did see a file named setup.xml which I was tempted to run, but I got cold feet. I don’t know what that file is used for. But I didn’t see any other file that looks like it would help me extract ATPVBAEN from the CAB where it lives. Any suggestions?

If you can see it in explorer, try to drag if from the CAB file to the desktop, and rename it to just.XLAM.

If you can do that, put it in C:\Users\Sid\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\AddIns

or any trusted location and see if you can open it like any other Excel Add In

I had to to something like that to put some fonts back that I didn't know I needed
