How do I auto update data on slide

I have a presentation that is manually updated with data from several different Excel and Access files. Is there anyway to link the Slide data to automatically update when the slideshow (.pps file) is opened?

Inorder to speed up the update process during the slide show loop. I created a source spreadsheet in the same folder with the powerpoint file. I also automated the refresh in the spreadsheet to update the hyperlinks to other spreadsheets.

If other are going to update information that is to be displayed. They have to learn to save the data on the source file before it can be updated in the slide show.

The more links you have the longer it takes to update during each loop. If instal the updatelink above just uncheck the box to stop the show. Its one of the options in the user interface.
