Hi all,

From another system I export an expenses report into Excel. It appears in a simple table format with a category, items and costs.

I need that information to be displayed in a report format - i.e. make a heading from each category and place the items and costs underneath that heading.

I would also require the code to:
(1) Make the headings bold
(2) Indent the items one place (not in example below)
(3) sort each group by cost in descending order. (not in example below)

Please see http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=453218 for an example.

I would really appreciate someone's help with this. Sadly my VBA skills havn't reached this level yet.

Thanks

GTO

Greetings,

I would like to start with my compliments on posting a link to where you have already posted your problem/question. Personally, it is much appreciated!

That said, this would seem a wee bit premature, as the goodfolk at mrexcel have only had 52 minutes to solve. Does that make sense? For the best explanation I have seen, see Here (http://www.excelguru.ca/node/7)

If you give your original thread (and the folks attempting to help) a fair amount of time to resolve the issue and this is to no avail, then I would suggest attaching an example workbook, to include at minimum, before and desired after results.

IMHO, the best thing about vbax is the 'answerers', the good folks here; but certainly amongst added advantages are the KB and the ability to attach a wb.
