highlight 2 consecutive cells in same Col

i have a set of strings and numbers in ColA. I would like a macro that will only color in red if 2 consecutives cells have the same number or string. ie, if a10=5 & a11=5 then highlight rows a10 & a11 in red

Select A2 down and add conditional formatting with a formula of

=AND(ISNUMBER(A2),OR(A1=A2,A2=A3))
