It is hand when in Windows Explorer to be able to right click on a file and see comments as to what it is about. Often you cannot remember what's in a file by the file name. It seems that some files allow this capability and some don't.

Is this possible with an Excel file and if so, how?

You can edit this from within Excel by opening the file and selecting File, Properties from the menu.

Thank you. In 2007 it's Office Button, Prepare, Properties. Also I didn't realize it but it turn out than you can change the properties from within Windows Explorer too. Right Click, Properties, Details, click to the right of Comments and a drop down will open.

Thank you again.
