I have a cell formated to be a
Number
0 decimals
When I type in a number it places a decimal in front
I enter 706 and it stores it as (.706). Cant seem to figure out why

Apparently you don't have it formatted the way you think.
We can hardly be expected to diagnose it from here without seeing the workbook though.

Well..seems even in a blank workbook the same thing happens...
Must be some excel setting I fubared?

I don't know. I formatted a cell as number with 0 decimal and attached it.
See how it looks on your computer.

gim...Steve only formatted the cell he highlighted in yellow..The cell you typed the number in is NOT formatted the same as Steve's. Take a look at what Steve formatted HIS cells as.

Yes..I know.
A new workbook will have all cells formatted as general. Typing a number should show exactly as typed. I type 706 and get .706
If I format the cell as number with 0 decimals it converts .706 to 1.
confused
