Docx with macros?

Is there ANY way to have have a docx with macros in it? I have looked and found the answer to be, in general, no but I am looking for a creative solution to the problem. I dont understand why docx files can have macros run inside them once they are open, but are unable to have macros embedded inside them.

Because docm have macros. Docx can have macros run on them - technically the procedures are run "against" them - but the code for those procedures are executed from a template file, NOT from the docx itself.
