Custom picture on puzzle

Hi all,

I wanna use the jigsaw puzzle in powerpoint (the autoshapes are already there)

But i dont know how put my own custom picture as the background for all the pieces. (i can paste the picture on each piece, but that is really not what i'd like to do).

Use the picture you need as the slide background (Format Background > Picture) Actual method varies a little with version you have.

Now draw a rectangle over the background with a plain fill so that the picture is hidden.

Insert the puzzle pieces on top and right click each shape and set it's fill to slide background. Again the actual method varies with version - always a good idea to quote it!

so should i understand from this that you can not paste the a picture into the four (or more) pieces, so that the pieces together will asemble one picture ?!

You cannot do that.

We have an Add In that can produce pieces filled with part of the picture as you wish but it's a commercial Add In and not free.
