I want to make a button on the worksheet but the Toolbox icon in VBA is not reacting.
When I right click at an empty space on the toolbar then I see that ‘Standard’ is enabled.
When I click ‘Customize’ then the Toolbox icon is highlighted and when I close the menu then the Toolbox icon is grey again.
In this way I cannot make a button on the worksheet.
How to use the Toolbox?

Thanks

What toolbox icon are you referring to?

It is the icon next to the question mark as you can see in the image.

I don't know that toolbar. Which one is it?

Its in the VBE. The toolbox icon will not be enabled until you insert a form.

If you are looking to create a button on the worksheet, go back to the worksheet you are working on, and complete the following;

To create an option button in Microsoft Office Excel 2003 and in earlier versions of Excel, make sure that the Forms toolbar is visible. To display the Forms toolbar, point to Toolbars on the View menu, and then click Forms.

"A button on the Worksheet" sounds to me like this is being made to complicated by the OP.

In Excel worksheet (not VBE) Click View/Toobars/Forms (simple button with macro assigned to it) or View/Toobars/Control ToolBox (more advanced button with code 'inside' it)

2007 menu is Developer Tab /Insert/ then choose Forms or ActiveX...

Thanks for the reactions. At first I thought there is something wrong with the installation.

Thanks.

Its in the VBE...

Nicely Spotted!

(I kept staring at the VB toolbar, wondering why it seemed different:104: )

Were you using the old electric slate model at the time?
