Working with CutCopyPaste Mode

On occasion I have a need to do more than a simple "right-click, copy; right-click paste," for example, when I need to copy a string from one cell and the paste it at a designated position within the target cell. Once I right-click and copy, I either have to double-click the target cell OR click in the formula bar and position the cursor where I want to paste the information. However, when I right-click to paste, I find I am no longer in CutCopyPaste mode, so I lose what I've copied.

Is there a way around this problem?

When you are in the cell you want to copy from, F2 or click in the formula bar.


CTRL+Home to select all, or select what you want.
CTRL+C to copy.
ESC to escape.
Select destination cell; F2 or click in the formula bar and place cursor at desired insertion point.
CTRL+V to paste.
ENTER to exit Edit Mode.Hope that helps,
