I have been asked by a colleague if there is anyway to document in the same workbook the various steps in evaluating the formula in a single cell by say double licking on it.
Purely as an example that I have to hand, this formula has 26 component steps to reach the final value.
=IF(ISERR(LOOKUP(B$2,INDIRECT("'"&TEXT($A35,"yyyy-mm-dd")&"'!$A$7:$A$13"),INDIRECT("'"&TEXT($A35,"yyyy-mm-dd")&"'!$E$7:$E$13"))),"",LOOKUP(B$2,INDIRECT("'"&TEXT($A35,"yyyy-mm-dd")&"'!$A$7:$A$13"),INDIRECT("'"&TEXT($A35,"yyyy-mm-dd")&"'!$E$7:$E$13")))
As I understand it they just want to have the ability to document if and where a formula breaks down.
