Every day a .csv file is uploaded to an ftp site. We download this file every morning. The filename is always the same except the date of the file is appended in yyyymmdd format. ie filename_20100712.csv
One of the fields in this file is a date field with dd/mm/yyyy format. When I do the initial import of the file to create the table, I specify the date format. It imports beautifully without any formatting problems, or specifically I can import the .csv into Access and my table shows the date field in mm/dd/yyyy format.
When I use the same import specifications to import the rest of the files into the table(Appending) the dates go back to dd/mm/yyyy format. Can anyone help me identify how to fix this?
