Na, just couldn't give a toss. :)

I've only watched three of the games:

Portugal v Greece
Spain v Russia
Sweden v Bulgaria

It seems that the (swedish) manager for England, Sven-G?ran Eriksson, at least until the game against Croatia is played has his job...

I hope King Henrik also shows in today's game against Italy that he is a wonderful player.

Send your thanks to Mr S-G Eriksson for his coaching of the team and let us hope that Mr Owen will find the goal as well. I would like to see that Mr Beckham will no play towards Portugal as he is no longer the great player he once was.

How's Prso doing in the tournament? The only mention I saw was from the first game where he was booked for diving. I've been too busy to pay attention otherwise. He's probably in contention for the Golden Shoe or whatever it's called these days.

I think not. He scored against France though. Played ok against England but didn't look anything special. He's on his way home now though!

It was Argentina in 98 all over again. A perfectly good goal by Sol Campbell that would have won the game. We didn't play well but we played with spirit. I can't take anything away from the portuguese, they were the better side for much of the game but alot of that was because they had to be as we were winning. We were absolutely robbed though by the homer referee Urs Meier. Luckily though he has his own website where you can leave feedback, as broadcast on national radio this morning. His site is quite slow due a large volume of traffic but I managed to leave something tasty for him. Git.

Portugal was the better team but the way England played with great heart they also made a very good game.

If it was in the Premier League then the situation before Campbell's goal would be OK but it seems that in international games the goalkeepers are holy...

I believe that Mr Colina as well as Mr Frisk would have done the same thing as Mr Meier.

Thanks England for some good games and good luck Portugal.

This is my ranking of the teams:
1. France
2. Tjeckien
3. Portugal
4. The Netherland
5. Denmark, Sweden, Greece, England

The key thing is terry didn't move, he therefore can't be in the wrong. He's allowed to stand there. The only foul comitted was Campbell on terry! LOL Colina would have let it stand. The goal aside though, the refereeing was absolutely awful. The worst foul of the match was clearly the moment that Rooney had his foot trodd on and broken. Clearly he could have done serious damage to the guys studds and a free kick to Portugal was warranted.

In other news:

FANS BLITZ REF'S WEBSITE

The website belonging to England's most hated man, Swiss ref Urs Meier, has been shut down after being bombarded with 30,000 hits.

The part time official angered English fans with a number of suspect decisions in the Euro 2004 quarter final clash against hosts Portugal.

His chief crime was disallowing Sol Campbell's goal in the dying seconds of normal time for an alleged foul on the goalkeeper.

England supporters keen to show 45-year-old Meier how they felt logged onto his website - only to find it had been closed.

One England fan who tried to pass on his comments to the ref was Tony Mombanto, from Hertfordshire.

"I was suddenly given this way to tell Urs what I thought of him and then, poof! It's taken away," he said.

"Yet again this part time official has managed to pull the rug from under the feet of England football fans."

Meier's website invites feedback from readers. It also has details of his fanclub and shows pictures of him in action and relaxing.

Good job I got my choice comments in early....;)

1. France
2. Tjeckien
3. Portugal
4. The Netherland
5. Denmark, Sweden, Greece, England

Personally, I've been very impressed with the Danes and would rank them higher.

I would have:

1. Czeck Rep.
2. France, England, Portugal
4. The Netherland, Denmark
5. Sweden,
6. Greece

On performances so far. My personal tip before the tournament were the dutch. If they get it together they'll go far. The Czeck comeback against them was inspired though if they hadn't made such defensive substitutions the result could have been different.

Attached is one of the funnier examples of the tonnes of 'forwards' I've recieved this morning.

Don?t blame all on the referee as England had (2 x 45 min) + (2 x 15 min) and 7 penalties to win the game with.

In addition I strongly believe it is time to help the refeeres with videos before making the final decisions, especially when it is situation like the one last night. In ishockey they use it successfully.

Mr Beckham did once again a poor job on the pitch.

As usual the French Team need some more games before they are at the top of their performance and recall that they have been a winning-team for the last 8 years (except in the last WC).

Czeck Rep has a good tradition in the EC but the French team is a better team as they also have a very good defense which Czeck Rep lack.

The Netherland have not been very successful since 1978 in Argentina and although they are highly respected and are one of the favourites before any championship they seems to lack the winning-spirit.

It seems that England suffer from the same problems as they have not been playing in any final after the 1966 WC.

I believe that last night game showed that Portugal has better technical player then England (not necessary as a team) but the mainreason for ranking Portugal higher is the benefit of having the championship at home. England's ranking is due to the lack of outstanding technical players and the poor job Mr Beckham do.

Finally I hope Mr Sven-G?ran Eriksson will be able to continue to build up the english team for coming championships.

Ay, the future is certainly bright. 2 years time with the world cup in Germany being played in conditions we are used to will be a big plus. Rooney with that little bit more experience. Maybe a couple of other newcomers. Things could be good.

Yes but we did win the game in 90 mins if it wasn't for the ref, hence blaming the ref.

As usual I find english sense of humour outstanding.

Please try to find a better goalkeeper then Mr James in view of the coming WC.

Yes David James could do better. He's a great shot stopper but his other areas of play aren't too hot.

If Chris Kirkland could work out how to get out of bed without injuring himself we'd be in good shape.

Glad you like the humour!

Hm, The Dutch team didn't make it to the final and did not play very well towards Portugal. Portugal looked very strong so I guess they have increased the chances to win the championship.

Anyway, King Henrik has now signed a 2-years contract with Barcelona.
