View Full Version : Add 1250 textboxes in excel using vba vb6

I have an application which added textboxes in excel using vb6-vba. But after adding 1208 textboxes it gives error Automation error "Element not found". Pls. help to resolve this error.

Well, there is a surprise. How can any user possibly manage 1208 textboxes.

Sounds like you need a re-design to me.

Thanx for replying.

We r using it for time and action calender which shows tasks pending for the week. each task contain 15 fields and number of tasks can vary person to person. For eg for a low level user it is less but for a team leader is more as it contains all the tasks of his/her team.

If it were me and I needed yo capture this amount of data, I would just use cells on a worksheet.

I wouldn't even try to use that many TBs.

Just to add to xld's valid comment, you can have those cells with validation and show or hide rows...etc depending on user level, but to be honest i think (like xld) you need to rethink what data you want to capture, how and why........then what do you want to do with the result of the captured data.

Pen and paper first, worksheet later!
