Can you get word fields to update automatically?

Hi,

This might be a quick question for someone, I am not the experienced with Word.

I have a word document which I use as a template where open it up and over type some figures. Some of these figures are then used elsewhere in the document.

Can you get Word to transpose this information automatically when you update one field.

Also, and in addition for future project...can you create some sort of user GUI/Form where you type in the information and it auto populates the document? Is that possible with Word and VBA?
