Hi,

is there a function that's compatible with excel 2003 that does the same thing as yearfrac? if not, is there a simple way to do it in 2003 that's not multiple nested formulas?

TIA
T

YEARFRAC() is available in 2003. You must have Analysis ToolPak add-in installed and loaded.

what would be a replacement if I don't have that add-in installed? i.e. I'd like to be able to send this out to other users and be able to see the values.

Thanks

Hi there,

I am probably missing something, but if a close approximation is okay, would this work?

Let B3 = 2/5/2010 (5 Feb 2010)
Let B4 = 10/15/2010 (15 October 2010)

...where both are entered as dates (not text).

=(B4-B3)/360

Change the cell format to number.
