Hi Everyone, newbie here!:hi:

I've never used excel before, but have been tasked with creating a form thats user friendly.
My problem is creating a list box with names in. The operator then selects a name and it is then posted into a cell. I'm an old man so be gentle with me! Thanks Throbber :help

Sorry, but if you have never used Excel before, why did they give you this task? It seems daft to me.

Hi Throbber. Can you tell me a little more. What cell do you need the name to go into?

Hi, austenr
It's a questionaire, so at the bottom I need to have a pop up box/ list box of names so whoever filled the form out could select there name from the list and it would be inserted into a different cell. hope this helps. throbber

Try Data Validation. Here's a simple example

Hi, again

It needs to be in a scrollable box, theres 100 plus names to go in!

This really sounds like a "professional" is sought.

This may be a bit more than you need at the moment, but if you use an ActiveX ComboBox from the Control Toolbox you have some smart functionality with regards to selections (i.e. enter "C" and you'll automatically go to the C's in your list).

To populate the CB you go to its properties and enter your list range in its ListFillRange.
