Hi,

How to create table of content, I am trying but getting error message when I update them please find attach file.

Please let me know in steps.

The Table of Contents field (TOC) is looking for paragraphs with Heading 1, 2 and 3 ("1-3")

Your test document did not have any paragraphs with those styles

Just to be a bit more clear.

Generated Table of Contents are generated for either Styles, or TOC field codes. The most common usage is using Styles. This is also the default.

By default, Word generates TOC from all paragraphs using Header styles (Header 1, Header 2, Header 3). You do not have to use Header styles for a ToC. You can use any style you want.

To change what style Word will use, go through the Reference > Index and Tables > Table of Contents dialogues. UNCHECK Header 1 etc. and check the styles you want to use.

Demo of this attached. It uses:

MyTitle for level 1 ToC
MyHeading2 for level 2 ToC
MyHead3 for level 3 ToC.

Still I am getting error as "Error! Bookmark not defined." . I havechanged the style.May I know wat is the reason.
