Solved: ClosedWorkbook/Filter

Hi,

I'm trying to find out if you can set a filter in a closed workbook?
I know you can pull data, but the data I would need is derived from the setting of a filter.
So the question is: Can you set a filer in a closed workbook?

I can't say I have ever tried, but I would be surprised if you could.

Why not just open the workbook, filter it and close it?

Thanks for the reply and the reason is the user would like if possible not open the closed file.

Do it in code, hide the workbook when open, the user willl never know.
