Hello,

With the help of others in this vbax community; I have learned how to use the UI Editor to craft a "toolbar" with macro buttons.

I certainly don't know XML beyond this one concept. Thus, can somebody tell me if it is possible to "float or drag" the toolbars/buttons (as was possible with Word 2003)?

I used to drag the toolbars/buttons down to the location I had to work on, and it saved a lot of mouse tracks.

If this is at all possible, could somebody please post sample code for me to study from?

Please advise,
Janet

No, I am araid that this is one of the big drawbacks of the Ribbon. There are are no tear-off menus, and so as you say, you have to move the mouse around a great deal more than in previous versions.

The closest I know (2010 only) is to add items to existing context menus

You've both helped me confirm what I suspected.

Also, thanks Paul for the context menu link. It is good to know what is available, and what can be done alternatively.

This forum is tops!

Thanks again,
