Mergemail field

I have a mergemail document linked to excel files. My excel files vary depending on client but the report in the word is the same.

is there an easy way to rename the directory and file names in the mergefields rather than doing it 50times for each client and for 50 clients?

is there a vba procedure that i could try?

Hi jjj2k,

There are no filenames in mergefields. Rather, the source file is stored in the document's metadata.

Probably the simplest approach for your situation would be to have the mailmerge main document linked to a nominal Excel file with all the required fields and simply copy the others over it before running the mailmerges for them.
