I am in the middle of a project for my golf club.
I am using EXCEL as I find it gives me the flexibilty of automatic sheet calculations as against ACCESS which would require me to code all of the required functions.
My problem is when the members enter the competition for the day their "GolfLink" number (A national golf hadicapping system used in Australia) is entered manually. What I am proposing is using the GolfLink card which is issued to every golfer in Australia and has a magnetic stripe onto which is encoded their GolfLink number.
I have obtained a USB card swipe reader but have no idea how to incorporate this into my program.
Any help would be appreciated with code snippets if possible.
